By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen is confident of scoring against Fenerbahce as both sides plan to face off in the Istanbul Derby.

The former Lille player has been in superb form since joining Galatasaray on loan from Italian Serie A side, Napoli.

He has scored 14 goals with four assists in 18 league games this season.

Reflecting on their recent Super Lig victory, Osimhen stated, “It was very important and difficult. I congratulate the whole team and thank our fans. We will continue our winning streak.”

Mario Lemina, who provided the assist for Osimhen’s goal in the UEFA Europa League this week, added, “I’m happy to be back. Assisting Osimhen in my first match was important. We performed well as a team and are determined to win the Fenerbahçe derby.”

Speaking about the upcoming Turkish Super Lig derby match, Osimhen said, “We are not afraid of Fenerbahçe. We are ready for them; Fenerbahçe is a good team as well. It will be a normal match.

“I will score goals against Fenerbahçe and help bring my team closer to the championship.”

Fenerbahce tops the Turkish Super Lig log and hopes to beat their rivals to maintain their leadership momentum.
