Watford Manager Marco Silva Issues Warning to Isaac Success

Watford’s manager, Marco Silva, has issued a stern warning to Nigeria international Isaac Success, urging him to demonstrate his commitment to the English Premier League side following a recent off-field incident. The Super Eagles striker, who was not included in the squad for the recent 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon and Zambia, was reportedly arrested after an alleged altercation with four individuals he accused of underpayment, involving a sum of £2,000.

Silva, as reported by the Daily Mail, expressed his displeasure with the incident, as it has the potential to tarnish the club’s reputation. He stated, “The player and everyone knows the obligations at this club, and he knows the rules. Of course, people who love football don’t like this situation. Football is his life. He needs to be careful – everyone needs to be careful – and know the right way. What we are talking about is one situation in September.”

While the allegations have been denied by the striker’s representative, Silva emphasized his commitment to supporting Success as he continues to improve at the club. He acknowledged the player’s progress and indicated that the club’s obligation is to guide him in the right direction.

Success joined Watford in August 2016 from Spanish club Granada for a transfer fee of £12 million. Although he scored only once in 19 appearances for the Hornets during the last season, his potential and ability have not gone unnoticed, making it crucial for him to maintain a positive image and dedication to the sport.

Silva’s words serve as a reminder to Success and all players of the responsibilities that come with being professional athletes, both on and off the pitch, and the impact their actions can have on the reputation of their clubs.
