Bendel Insurance goalkeeper, Amas Obasogie says the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side will miss former club’s marksman, Imade Osarenkhoe who has left the Benin based club.
The Nigerian club announced the departure of striker Osarenkhoe for United Arab Emirates (UAE) club United FC this week via its social media platform -X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
Imade has since signed a four-year deal with the Middle East side, a scenario Obasogie admits the team will miss him ahead of the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup with RS Berkane of Morocco.
“Soldier go and come, the barrack remains,” Obasogie told Brila FM.
“Imade was a plus to the team. We will miss him so much but he has his dream to play outside the country.
“I wish our league was much better and of standard. Look at the South African, Algerian, Moroccan, and Egyptian leagues, the players don’t move out.” He concluded.
Imade, who was scouted by the club during his days at the University of Benin, played in the Nigeria University Games (NUGA) where he scored four goals in the competition at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.
