Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi will return to training this weekend manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.
The Super Eagles missed the Foxes 2-2 home draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last week after picking up a muscle strain injury in training.
On Thursday, while speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at Walsall, Rodgers said the Nigerian is recovering well and close to returning with the team.
“He’ll be out on the grass at the weekend,” he replied when asked about the midfielder’s fitness.
“He should join the group next week.”
The 25-year-old is widely considered one of the greatest central defensive midfielders of all time.
His tireless work ethic, defensive prowess, and ability to win the ball back for his team make him one of the most valuable players in the world.
The Nigeria international has only recently reclaimed his place in the Leicester City starting line-up but has been far from his usual best this season, suffering several injuries and loss of form.
The defensive midfielder has managed to featured in 16 games across all competitions for Leicester City this season.
