William Osula Wins Premier League Goal of the Month as Alex Iwobi Earns Recognition

William Osula has been named the Premier League Goal of the Month winner for March after his stunning late strike for Newcastle United.

The Nigeria-eligible forward beat competition from a strong shortlist that included Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson, Alex Iwobi, Iliman Ndiaye, Bernardo Silva, and John McGinn.

Osula secured the award thanks to his sensational 90th-minute winner against Manchester United, a goal that stood out as one of the finest moments of the month.

The accolade marks a notable milestone for Newcastle United, with Osula becoming the club’s first recipient of the award this season and the first since Alexander Isak won it in December 2024.

Meanwhile, Iwobi also received recognition after his superb strike for Fulham FC against Tottenham Hotspur earned a nomination. His sublime finish from the edge of the box proved decisive in securing victory for his side.

Iwobi’s impressive performances also saw him shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award, although the honour ultimately went to Bruno Fernandes.

The Manchester United playmaker edged out competition from Gibbs-White, Anthony Gordon, and David Raya to claim the award after a series of standout displays.
