Osimhen’s football journey commenced at the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, Nigeria, showcasing his talent and potential from an early age. He rose to prominence as a vital member of the Golden Eaglets squad that clinched the 2015 FIFA World Cup in Chile. His stellar performance earned him the prestigious golden boot, having scored an impressive 10 goals, along with the silver ball award. Additionally, Osimhen secured the CAF Youth Player of the Year award in 2015.

In January 2016, Osimhen, buoyed by his outstanding display at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, entered a pre-contract agreement with VfL Wolfsburg, formalizing his official transfer to the club in January 2017. The talented striker penned a three-and-a-half-year deal, binding him with Wolfsburg until June 2020.
