Women’s World Cup: Super Falcons are the pride of Africa – Peter Rufai

Nigeria legendary goalkeeper, Peter Rufai is excited following the country’s valuable 3-2 win over Australia at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons came from a goal down to inflict a 3-2 defeat on the Aussies and Rufai was delighted with the win over the Matildas as he considered it a difficult encounter.

“I am so excited that the Super Falcons defeated Australia 3-2. Of course it was a difficult game for the players considering when the scoreline was 3-2,” Rufai told Complete Sports.

”No doubt Super Falcons are the pride of Africa at the Women’s World Cup irrespective of their poor outing at the last Nations Cup.”

The Super Falcons go top of group B with four points from two matches and have a superior goal difference. A win for the Falcons in their last group game against the Republic of Ireland will seal a round of 16 berth for the giant of Africa.
