Women’s World Cup: Three England players that could be thorn in Nigeria flesh

England will be challenging Nigeria in the round of 16 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup for a place in the quarter final.
The Three Lionesses have lost their last two meetings with the Super Falcons and are in a tremendous shape for the encounter.
The English side was part of the teams to have a perfect group stage at the World Cup with eight goals scored and one goal conceded.

Chelsea star, Lauren James has been a valuable addition to the English squad at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. James has scored three goals and provided three assists in the World Cup making her one of the most potent attackers at the mundial.

The striker netted the English fourth goal against China which was her second goal for England since September 2022. Despite finding it hard to find the back of the net in the World Cup, Russo clinical stats can’t be written off when she faces the Super Falcons.

Arguably one of the most decorated English women player of all time, Lucy Bronze is description as one of the best right backs in the world and her overlapping traits with good crosses will be handful for Nigeria. Bronze won the second best player at the last World Cup in France as she led England to a fourth place finish.

Playmaker, Keira Walsh is a dynamic midfielder that combines the rare combination of a dazzling playmaker and a defensive midfielder. Walsh unpredictable style of play will cause tormenting problems in the middle of the pack for the Falcons.

Experienced 30 years old goalkeeper, Mary Earps has only conceded one goal at the World Cup while having a good command of her defensive wall. The Manchester United number one wonderful reflexes will come to play against Nigeria.
