Super Eagles Head Coach Eric Chelle is set to lead a delegation of backroom staff to Kigali on Sunday ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda’s Amavubi.
The team will fly from Abuja to the Rwandan capital aboard an Ethiopia Airlines flight. Upon arrival, the Super Eagles will open their camp in Kigali in preparation for the match.
Chelle recently announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming fixture against Rwanda, as well as the subsequent match against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, in the sixth round of the qualifiers.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face the Amavubi next Friday at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Nigeria, currently in fifth place in Group C with three points from four games, is still searching for their first win in the 2026 World Cup qualifying series.
As the three-time African champions aim to bounce back, the team will look to secure vital points in their bid to qualify for the World Cup.
