‘Worst to ever play for the club’ – One Man United star torn apart after Brighton disasterclass

Manchester United’s supporters have flooded to social media on Saturday evening, to single one player out for absolutely ruthless criticism.

The Red Devils returned to action a short time ago.

With confidence no doubt high in the camp on the back of a 3-0 drubbing of Brentford last time out, Ralf Rangnick and co. made the trip to England’s south coast, eyeing a 2nd win on the spin in a Premier League meeting with Brighton.

When all was said and done at the Amex, however, it is safe to say that such hopes fell flat, in altogether spectacular fashion.

This came as a performance which can frankly be described as nothing short of embarrassing ultimately saw the evening’s visitors put to the sword by four goals to nil.

Man of the Match Moises Caicedo set Brighton on their way inside the opening quarter of an hour, before an explosive ten-minute spell early in the 2nd-half saw all of Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard add their respective names to the scoresheet, rounding out a historic day all-round for Graham Potter’s Seagulls.

‘The worst’

Over on the red half of Manchester, though, the inquest will now get underway.

A shameful showing on the part of Ralf Rangnick’s troops has inevitably culminated in a host of United’s stars being singled out for heavy condemnation post-match, with the likes of Diogo Dalot, Alex Telles and Bruno Fernandes having not escaped the wrath of a furious Red Devils fanbase.

None, however, has been more widely targeted than midfielder Scott McTominay, amid suggestions that the Scottish international may well be the worst player to ever pull on the famed United shirt:
