‘You don’t own Napoli’ — Ex-Juventus executive Moggi calls for Osimhen punishment

A former Serie A executive, Luciano Moggi, has slammed Victor Osimhen for his behavior towards manager Rudi Garcia when he was substituted in the match against Bologna.
Moggi made this statement while sharing his thoughts on new Napoli manager Rudi Garcia, saying that the tactician has tried to change things at the club too much too soon.
Nigeria Football had reported that the Nigerian striker visibly expressed his frustrations when he was substituted during Napoli’s draw with Bologna despite missing a penalty.
However, the club opted not to fine him after he reportedly apologized to the coach. Napoli’s title defense has gone awry so far, having dropped points in four games this season, staying seven points adrift of league leaders AC Milan.
However, Moggi insisted that there must be discipline in the team and they must show that they are totally behind Garcia.
“At the moment, it’s true there is a distance compared to last year, but it’s there because the change of coach was too traumatic,” he said, per Tribal Football.
“With Garcia, the coach changes, the preparation changes, everything changes. The club must make it clear that it is on the coach’s side by educating the players.
“Player education is taught with a fine, even if it is (Victor) Osimhen who makes that gesture. Napoli are strong and the season has just started so we need to put things back in their place. Osimhen is not the owner of Napoli; he must understand that he must give his best.”
