The Senegal women’s U-20 team has announced the list of 20 players who will represent the country at the upcoming women’s football event of the 2023 African Games.

With the tournament set to kick off on Friday, teams have been revealing their rosters, and Senegal is no exception. The squad comprises three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and four attackers, providing a balanced mix of talent across all positions.

Senegal’s campaign will commence with a match against the Falconets on March 11, 2024, marking the beginning of their quest for success in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Nigeria was initially slated to face Morocco in the tournament’s opening fixture on Friday, March 8, setting the stage for an exciting start to the competition.

The top two teams from the group stage will advance to the semi-finals, where they will compete in the medal zone for a chance at glory.

Having clinched the gold medal in the previous edition held in Morocco, Nigeria enters the tournament as favorites to defend their title and secure another top medal finish.
