2023 CAF Awards: Morocco win five accolades to outshine Nigeria and South Africa

Morocco emerged as the biggest winner at the end of the 2023 CAF Awards with five prizes.
The North African country started the night, winning the men’s national team of the Year award.
The goalkeeper of the year in the men’s category also went to Moroccan save hands, Yasine Bounou.
Walid Regragui who took the Atlas Lions to the semi final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup won the men’s coach of the year.
Nesryne El Chad smiled home with the women’s Young Player of the Year gong.
ASFAR FC star, Fatima Tagnaout won the women’s Interclub Player of the Year.
Only Nigeria came close with four awards followed by South Africa with three awards.
Egypt won two awards while Senegal’s Lamine Camara scooped the Young Player of the Year award in men’s category.
