2024 CAF Women’s Champions League: Two Edo Queens goals make top five from group stage

Two out of Edo Queens’ five goals made the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League group stage best five goals.
Chukwuamaka Osigwe’s strike against Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC in their group opener made the list.
She received a through ball from Chioma Moses and beat a defender before firing a left-footed strike past the goalkeeper.
Mary Mamudu’s winning goal against Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies (South Africa), which ensured that Moses Aduku’s side finished top of Group B, also made the cut.
This is coming ahead of Tuesday’s semi-final clash with TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo) and two of the team’s players, Emem Essien and Cordelia Odoma, making the group stage Best XI.
TP Mazembe’s Merveille Nanguji’s header against the University of Western Cape (South Africa) also made the list of the best five goals from the group stage.
Another header from AS FAR FC’s Doha El Madani against TP Mazembe made the list.
Melinda Kgadiete (Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies) header against Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC, completed the top five best goals from the group stage.
