2025 CHAN Qualifiers: CAF confirms date for revealing Super Eagles B opponents

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria’s senior men’s national team B is gearing up for the 2025 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, with the draw set for October 9, 2024.

This marks a significant opportunity for the home-based Eagles, led by Augustine Eguavoen, to make a return to the tournament after missing out since 2018.

The qualifiers will consist of two rounds, with matches played on a home and away basis.

The first round will occur from October 25-27 and November 1-3, 2024, while the second round is scheduled for December 20-22 and December 27-29, 2024.

Historically, Nigeria has participated in CHAN three times, achieving a commendable third place in their debut.

They faced challenges in their second appearance, finishing at the group stage, but made a strong return in 2018, reaching the finals before losing to Morocco. The West African side is eager to build on that legacy and aim for a successful campaign in the upcoming qualifiers.
