2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup Qualifier: Flamingos to resume camp on Sunday for South Africa

Nigeria’s women’s U-17 national team is set to open camp for their World Cup Qualifiers.

The Flamingos camp according to Nigeriafootball.ng source will open on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Players and officials of the team are expected in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun state camp on Sunday.

Coach Bankole Olowookere’s side will face South Africa in Second Round of the Qualifiers.

South Africa won their First Round clash against Gabon 21-2 on aggregate.

The winner of the Second Round clash between Nigeria and South Africa will face either Botswana or Algeria in the Third Round.

Winners of the Third Round will join host, Morocco in qualifying for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Flamingos won bronze medal at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India and reached the quarter final when Dominican Republic hosted the tournament in 2024.
