2025 NBSL MD 1 Wrap: Kada, Jigawa, and Anambra off to winning start as league kick off in Birnin Kebbi

The 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) commenced with three matches. These games took place at Filin Sukuwa, Birnin Kebbi, on Monday, March 31.

Kada BSC defeated Kebbi United BSC with a score of 10-2. Mamman James and Dozie Frank put Kada ahead. Abba Aliyu scored for Kebbi United. Kada extended their lead to 8-1 by the third period. Emmanuel scored twice, with goals from Abubakar, Jibrin, and James. Atiku scored Kebbi United’s second goal. Bello and Frank completed Kada’s scoring.

Jigawa Golden Star won 4-3 against Niger BSC in the second match. Balogun, Bagudu, Kamilu, and Dahiru scored for Jigawa. Atiye, Manu, and Nuhu scored for Niger.

Ibom BSC and Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors drew 4-4. Ekwo scored twice for Anambra. Gabriel and Ogbonna also scored. Aniete scored twice for Ibom. Aniefiok and Eyo added goals as well. Anambra won the penalty shootout 4-3.

Dozie Frank who won the man of the match for Kada BSC said teamwork led to their victory. He acknowledged the league’s challenges and promised continued effort.

Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors Stanley Ekwo who also emerged as man of the match thanked God and his team. He also appreciated the league and his sponsors. Ekwo said his bicycle kick goal was from dedicated training.

The league continues with three more games on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
