Africa’s top-ranked beach soccer club, Kebbi Fishers BSC, maintained their perfect start to the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) season with a commanding 5-1 win over Ibom BSC in Nnewi, Anambra State, on Friday.

Two goals apiece from Hassan Muhammad and Taiwo Adams powered the defending champions to their fifth consecutive victory, underlining their dominance in the competition.

The opening period ended goalless, but Muhammad broke the deadlock in the second period to spark the Birnin Kebbi side into life. Adams then struck twice in quick succession to establish a 3-0 cushion before the end of the period.

Muhammad added his second of the day in the third period, while Monday Joseph made it five. Ibom’s Uwana Aniete grabbed a late consolation with the final kick of the match.
