2025 President Federation Cup: Abakaliki FC stun Enyimba as NPFL teams seal quarter-final spots

Enyimba FC will take no further part in the 2025 President Federation Cup after bowing out in the Round of 16 on Wednesday.

The People’s Elephant lost 2-0 to Abakaliki FC ending their campaign in the competition.

They will now shift focus on getting a continental ticket through the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Elsewhere, other top-flight NPFL teams made it to the quarter-finals.

Rangers International pipped Bendel Insurance 1-0.

Akwa United also recorded the same result against second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL) side Inter Lagos.

Ikorodu City FC ended Beyond Limit Academy’s fairy tale run with a 2-0 win.

After a 1-1 draw, Wikki Tourist, the second non-NPFL side remaining in the tournament, secured a 4-3 penalty win over Warri Wolves.

Plateau United edged Osun United 2-1 while Kwara United defeated Solution FC 3-0.

Nasarawa United ended Bayelsa United’s unbeaten run with a 5-4 victory on penalties after a 1-1 scoreline in regulation time.
