National Sports Festival: Gateway Games mascot, theme song and logo unveiled

The Gateway Games’ communication materials for the 22nd National Sports Festival are now public.

The logo, theme song, and mascot were revealed.

A vibrant ceremony took place at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta.

The Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, represented the Ogun State Governor.

The logo prominently features lemon green and yellow, Ogun State’s colours. Immediately after, the Festival’s Theme Song was played.

Entitled ‘E’kaabo’, meaning ‘Welcome’, it reflects Ogun State’s readiness. Thousands of athletes, officials, and tourists will arrive on May 16. Dr Bayo Adepetun wrote the Theme Song.

The hall was full, and the crowd cheered loudly. The festival’s mascot then appeared.

‘Omo Ogun’, a lively character, walked onto the stage. It saluted the audience and greeted important guests.
