#CHIVIDO2024: “I am starstruck” — Davido elated by ‘World Best’ Osimhen attendance

David Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name Davido, married his long-time girlfriend Chioma on Tuesday in Lagos, in the presence of several prominent figures, including Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen.
The event saw notable representations from the sports world, with African football legend Jay-Jay Okocha and former NFF president Amaju Pinnick also attending the reception.
In a trending video captured during the wedding, Davido was seen meeting with Victor Osimhen and expressing his admiration for the footballer.
Hailing Osimhen as “World Best,” Davido appeared genuinely star-struck by his presence, saying, “World best. I am starstruck, honestly,” in a video posted on X.
Osimhen, the reigning African Player of the Year, is currently enjoying his vacation in Nigeria.
However, he will return to Europe in roughly two weeks to join Napoli for their preseason amid his transfer request.
The Nigerian striker’s attendance at the wedding added a touch of sporting prestige to the star-studded event, reflecting the close-knit nature of Nigeria’s entertainment and sports industries.
