Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists, Abdu Maikaba, has praised his team for their spirited performance in securing a valuable point against Mighty Jets on Saturday.
The Bauchi Elephants maintained their unbeaten start to the 2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) season with the draw in their Matchday Three encounter, continuing their strong campaign.
With seven points from three games, Wikki Tourists currently sit at the top of the Northern Conference C log.
Maikaba acknowledged the significance of the result, highlighting that it boosts the team’s morale as they push for further success in the season.
However, the former Akwa United coach also urged his players to work on improving their performance.
“This result boosts our morale and strengthens our position at the top of the table,” Maikaba said in an interview with Wikki Tourists’ media team.
“We’ll keep pushing toward achieving our goals, and we do hope it will count good for us in the end. We only need to improve on whatever we are doing now.”
With their current momentum, Wikki Tourists are determined to continue their impressive start and aim for success as the season progresses.
