The lineup for the eighth edition of the African Nations Championship is now finalized, having been initially set for February but rescheduled to take place from August 2 to August 30, 2025.

Algeria and South Africa have secured the final two qualifying positions and will join joint-hosts Uganda, Niger Republic, and Guinea in Group C.

Meanwhile, the 2018 silver medalists, Nigeria, will face Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan in Group D, following the disqualification of Congo Brazzaville due to a protest from Equatorial Guinea.

Joint-hosts Kenya will lead Group A, which also features Morocco, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Zambia.

The tournament will kick off with a match between Kenya and the 2018 champions, Morocco.

Additionally, Tanzania, another joint-host, will head Group B, competing against Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic, who previously defeated Cameroon, as all five teams vie for two spots in the knockout stages.

GROUP A: Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, Zambia

GROUP B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African
Republic

GROUP C: Uganda, Niger Republic, Guinea, Algeria, South Africa
