CAF appoints Ivorian officials for Rivers United–Black Bulls clash in Uyo

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed an all-Ivorian officiating team for the CAF Champions League second preliminary round, second-leg encounter between Rivers United of Nigeria and Associação Black Bulls of Mozambique.

The decisive fixture is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. Mozambique time).

Ivorian referee Kouassi Frédéric François Biro will take charge of the match, assisted by compatriots Prosper Adiouman (Assistant Referee 1) and Eba Médard Wenceslas Ettien (Assistant Referee 2). Patrick Tanguy Jean Philippe Vlei, also from Côte d’Ivoire, will serve as the fourth official.

CAF further confirmed that Munkaila Nassam Adam of Ghana will act as the match commissioner for the encounter.

Rivers United, nicknamed the “Pride of Nigeria,” will be aiming to capitalize on home advantage in Uyo as they seek to secure qualification to the next round of the continental competition.
