NPFL Warns Niger Tornadoes Over Security Breaches at Home Ground

The Nigeria Premier Football League has issued an official caution to Niger Tornadoes FC following repeated concerns over crowd control and security lapses at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.

According to the league, complaints from rival clubs and independent observers highlighted incidents involving supporters and unauthorized individuals gaining access to restricted areas, disrupting match operations, and undermining the integrity of the game.

In response, the NPFL has directed the Minna-based club to implement immediate corrective measures, including restricting access to only accredited personnel in sensitive zones such as technical areas, pitch side, and dressing rooms.

The club has also been instructed to provide adequate security before, during, and after matches, while ensuring proper control of supporters to prevent any form of disorder or violence.

The league issued a firm warning that any further incidents involving encroachment, intimidation, or security breaches at the stadium will result in severe sanctions.

This move forms part of the NPFL’s broader efforts to enhance safety, professionalism, and discipline across all match venues in Nigerian top-flight football.
