Technical Adviser of Sunshine Stars, Edith Agoye has assured the club faithful to return them to continental competition next season following a 1-0 victory over Bayelsa united on Sunday.
Sunshine’s only goal of the match which guaranteedtheir second home win of the season came in the fourth minute courtesy of Stephen Chukwude’s spectacular strike from edge of the area.
An excited Agoye who lamented his side’s profligacies in the final third, is confident that they can improve their finishing with more work in their subsequent matches.
“Its a very good one that whenever we play, we create chances either home or away games, its shows how good we are as a team,” Agoye told media.
“What we need do now is to work on the boys in training and make them to convert those chances and hopefully it will be coming in numbers.
“We want to continue to push on and get more points for us to get to the continent, this is a club that have been to the continental football on many occasion and we will do everything we can this season to make it happen again,” he said.
Bouncing back to winning ways will be on the minds of Sunshine Stars when they next host Niger Tornadoes in their next game in Akure.
