NPFL Super Six: Olanrewaju Daniel rues Enyimba missed chances against Insurance
By Saheed Afolabi
Enyimba coach, Olanrewaju Daniel is disappointed with the missed chances of the club against Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier  Football League (NPDL) Super Six Championship encounter in Lagos.
The People’s Elephants were forced to a 1-1 draw by Insurance as Sadiq Abubakar put Enyimba ahead before Divine Nwachukwu  37th minute equalized for the Benin Arsenals at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
And the tactician believes winning is in Enyimba DNA and coming second isn’t satisfying enough for the club.
“As long as Enyimba go into tournaments people expect Enyimba to win, this is a club that second best is not good enough,” Daniel told Complete Sports.
“We know the pressure that we are facing, Finidi and I are facing a lot of pressure from the club because the only thing they demand is result, either good or bad they want result so second or third will not be good for us.
“But maybe we didn’t take our chances which is the only negative thing today. But Insurance are a decent side because to go 21 unbeaten is not easy so we will move on and focus on the next game against Sunshine.”
The People’s Elephant will tackle Sunshine Stars in the next encounter on Friday, June 8. Enyimba top the NPFL Super Six table with five points from three matches and are on same points with second place Rivers United.
