Malaga Eyes Isaac Success for Loan Move as Watford Forward Seeks Fresh Start

In a potentially transformative move, Malaga is reportedly eyeing a loan deal for Watford forward Isaac Success, signaling a prospect for the Nigerian footballer to join forces with compatriot Brown Ideye in the Spanish La Liga.

Success, who arrived at Watford in a groundbreaking £12.5 million deal in the summer of 2016, has faced challenges in making a significant impact. Despite the initial high expectations, the former Granada forward managed only one goal in 19 league appearances during his debut season. Regrettably, the current campaign has seen him sidelined from league matches entirely, with his lone appearance in the Carabao Cup resulting in a 3-2 home defeat to Bristol City last August.

In light of these developments, reports from the Daily Mail suggest that Watford’s new manager, Javi Gracia, is open to allowing Success to embark on a loan stint with Malaga—a club that recently concluded a successful loan deal for Brown Ideye.

Success, who enjoyed two productive seasons at Granada in La Liga from 2014 to 2016, made 49 appearances, showcasing his talent with seven goals. The potential move to Malaga could provide him with the platform to reignite his career and regain the form that once earned him acclaim.

Meanwhile, as Watford contemplates reshaping its squad, the club has secured the services of Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu. The former Everton player, who has started nine games for Barcelona this season, seeks new opportunities to shine, adding an intriguing dimension to Watford’s roster.
