AC Milan regains top spot in Serie A after Verona win

AC Milan came from a goal down to beat Hellas Verona 3-1 to reclaim the top spot in the Serie A on Sunday.
Milan arrived in the game and placed second after their arch-rivals Inter had beaten Empoli 4-2; the result set to take the title race to the wire.
AC Milan have now gone 14 league games unbeaten.

In the game, Verona had surprised Milan when Danko Lazović’s cross found the on-rushing Davide Faraoni at the back post and he headed home to stun the visitors but Tonali equalized at the stroke of halftime

Rafael Leão was to act as the provider once again for Tonali who tapped home from six yards out to put Milan into the lead with Alessandro Florenzi coming off the bench to ensure the [oisnt were safe.

With the results, Milan moves two points clear of Inter with two games left to play, with Pioli’s men having to face Atalanta and Sassuolo. Inter on the other hand will be up against Cagliari and Sampdoria.
