Ademola Lookman nominated for Serie A Player of the Month award

Nigerian international and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Serie A Player of the Month award for May.

The 27-year-old is among six nominees shortlisted for the individual accolade, which recognizes outstanding performances in the final month of the 2024/25 season.

Lookman will compete for the award against Napoli’s Scott McTominay, AS Roma’s Manu Koné, Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini, Juventus midfielder Khéphren Thuram, and AC Milan striker Santiago Giménez.

The Super Eagles star ended a six-match goal drought earlier this month by scoring in Atalanta’s 2-1 victory over Roma. He also registered an assist in May, continuing his strong finish to the season.

Lookman has enjoyed a productive Serie A campaign, contributing 15 goals and five assists in 30 league appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

The winner of the award will be announced by Serie A at the end of the month.
