Afcon 2023: Nigeria make top five among most-sold tickets

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the list of participating countries with the top most sold tickets, including Nigeria for the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

Nigeria are among the top five ranked countries that purchased tickets for AFCON 2023, with ranked fourth with 12,544 tickets purchased, and sitting above defending champions Senegal.

Hosts, Ivory Coast has the most sold tickets with 32,307 ahead of Guinea Bissau with 28,614, while Equatorial Guinea completes the top three top-ranked sold tickets with 16,237.

Meanwhile, the match between Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau are the most sold ticket ahead of the Group A game involving Ivory Coast and Nigeria as well as the Guinea derby between Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.

Mozambique vs Ghana and Equatorial Guinea vs Ivory ranked third among the matchups.

A tough encounter between holders, Senegal and Cameroon with the game between Guinea and Gambia ranked number four on the list of most purchased game tickets.

Egypt vs Ghana was ranked fifth on top matches tickets sold.
