Nigeria midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali has told his national teammates to dismiss any acts of underrating any team in the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The continental tournament will begin on January 11 and will run through February 13 2024 and the Super Eagles will begin their campaign for fourth glory against Equatorial Guinea on January 14 in Abidjan.
And Nwakali feels the Super Eagles players shouldn’t treat each other badly and avoid making past mistakes.
“We must also treat each match as a must-see and avoid the mistakes of the last edition,” Nwakali was quoted by BSN Sports.
“Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea will not be child’s play as they are equally strong, but the Eagles will be ready to regain their crown in Ivory Coast.”
After launching their campaign against the Central Africans, the Super Eagles will battle host nation, Ivory Coast on January 18 before wrapping up their group stage against Guinea Bissau on January 22.
