AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Eguavoen reveals Super Eagles’ game plan against Libya

By Wale Mustapha

Interim Head Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Augustine Eguavoen has disclosed that the team will be approaching their next African Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifiers against Libya like a ‘World Cup’ final.

Eguavoen will be leading the country’s national team to take on the Mediterranean Knights on Friday, October 11 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo

The two teams will square up again in Benina four days later for the reverse encounter.

Eguavoen who is confident of a positive approach from his players in the encounters said the team will make Nigerians happy again.

“We play against Libya back-to-back, it will be the same approach that we had for the previous games, but it’s a game at a time, so game 3 (vs Libya) is a World Cup final,” Eguavoen told Brila FM.

“No game will be easy, but we will do everything possible to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.”

The Super Eagles currently top Group D with four points from two games.
