Anam Imo’s effort not enough as Pitea bow out of Svenska Women’s Cupen

Nigeria forward, Anam Imo was on target for Pitea despite they bowed out of the Svenska Women’s Cupen after a 4-1 loss to Hammarby in the semi-final on Saturday.
The 2018 Swedish champions started on the back foot as Sara Fornes gave Hammarby the lead in the 15th minute at the Hammarby IP.
Imo , however equalised for Pitea in the 58th minute, dragging the encounter into extra time, where Pitea conceded three goals to kiss the final goodbye.
Danish defender, Simone Boye Sorensen restored Hammarby’s lead in the 95th minute. Ten minutes later, Matilda Vinberg increased Hammarby’s lead before Madelen Janogy rounded up the scoring in the 115th minute.
The Nigerian duo of Imo and Faith Ikidi-Michael both played for the duration of the game for Pitea.
Hammarby will face BK Hacken in the final on May 18, at the Bravida Arena after the latter edged Kristiansad 2-1.
Rosengard won the Svenska Cupen last season with a 2-1 win over BK Hacken.
