Anthony Nwakaeme returns from injury with goal for Trabzonspor against Kasimpasa

Nigeria player Anthony Nwakaeme played his first game since November 3, 2024, for Trabzonspor as his team played out a 2-2 draw with Kasimpasa in the Turkish top flight on Friday.

Cafu scored the first goal of the match for Kasimpasa in the 38th minute at the Papara Park, Trabzon.

Simon Banza equalized for the host from the penalty spot in the 79th minute.

Substitute, Nwakaeme put his side ahead in the 81st minute from Pedro Jorge Go calves Malheiro’s assist.

He leaped high to meet a deep cross and gave the goalkeeper no chance with a bullet header into the middle of the net.

Nuno Da Costa’s late goal in the additional minutes of the second half ensured that the game ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

Nwakaeme replaced Denis Dragus in the 46th minute before scoring his first goal of the campaign.

He has also provided an assist after seven league games for Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor occupy the 12th position on the log with 16 points from 14 games, the same as their opponents, Kasimpasa in 13th place.

They will travel to face Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray on December 11, 2024.
