Arsenal win celebration over Real Madrid claims life of Police Inspector

Tragedy struck Calabar, Nigeria, with the untimely passing of Inspector Stephen Enang, a devoted police officer and passionate Arsenal fan, shortly after witnessing his team triumph over Real Madrid in a thrilling 3-0 Champions League match.
This unfortunate event took place on Tuesday evening at a local viewing center on Abang-Asang Street, highlighting the unpredictable nature of life.
Eyewitnesses reported that Inspector Enang was in high spirits throughout the match, enthusiastically cheering as Arsenal dominated the Spanish giants.
His excitement was contagious; he laughed, applauded, and celebrated each goal with the fervor characteristic of a true football enthusiast.
However, following the final whistle, that exhilaration turned to concern. As the crowd began to disperse, Enang remained seated, unresponsive.
Despite being rushed to Akim Police Hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.
Hailing from Ekori in Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, Enang served at the Akim Police Division and was known for his gentle demeanor, dedication, and compassion.
He was described as soft-spoken, loyal, and an ardent football supporter.
His sudden passing serves as a poignant reminder of life’s fragility.
As tributes pour in and investigations continue, the football community and the people of Calabar mourn the loss of a dedicated officer who spent his final moments passionately supporting Arsenal.
