Asisat Oshoala scores late winner as Al-Hilal edge Ashleigh Plumptre’s Al-Ittihad

It was a night of Nigeria fireworks in Saudi Arabia, as Asisat Oshoala and Ashleigh Plumptre both made the scoresheet in a dramatic 3-2 win for Al-Hilal Women over Al-Ittihad Women.

Oshoala struck deep into stoppage time to hand Al-Hilal the three points, after Plumptre had earlier inspired an Al-Ittihad equalizer.

In the 85th minute, Plumptre delivered a brilliant assist to set up Al-Ittihad’s equalizer, making it 2-2.

Oshoala scored the decisive winner, securing a 3-2 victory for Al-Hilal in the 93rd minute.

Oshoala has now scored in four consecutive matches, tallying 4 goals and 2 assists in just 4 appearances for her new club this season.

While they continue to shine together for Nigeria, the clash showed that on club duty, Oshoala and Plumptre are fierce rivals, delivering a thrilling contest for fans of the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
