Barr Seyi Akinwunmi tips Super Eagles for 2023 Africa Cup of Nations title

Former first vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Seyi Akinwunmi has backed Nigeria to win the next Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) trophy in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles are faced in a tricky group with host nation, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in group A of the 2024 AFCON.
The Lagos-born football administrator said the opponents in group A can’t stop the Super Eagles from reaching the knockout stage of Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON), insisting that no team in Africa can match the West Africans.
“Super Eagles will surely qualify from Group A with the quality of players we are parading in the team,” Akinwunmi told media in Abuja.
“No disrespect to other teams but right now, no team in Africa can stop Super Eagles and Super Falcons in Africa, so, I tip Eagles to win the fourth title in Cote D’Ivoire.”
Nigeria will be aiming for their fourth AFCON title in Ivory Coast after winning the tournament last in 2013.
The Super Eagles have chosen the mantra of ‘Lets Do It Again’ as they chase glory in Cote D’Ivoire.
