In the penultimate round of the Bundesliga season, champions Bayern Munich welcome relegation-threatened VfB Stuttgart to the Allianz Arena on Sunday.

As it stands, Stuttgart occupy the relegation play-off spot. They find themselves four points from safety with only six points up for grabs.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich sit 12 points clear of second-place Borussia Dortmund. Having secured a tenth straight Bundesliga title, the Bavarians will be eager to finish the season on a high note.

Bayern have lost just five of their 32 Bundesliga encounters this season, picking up 24 wins and three draws along the way.

Not only are they the highest scorers in the German top flight (93), but they also boast the best defensive record (33). As a result, they have a mammoth goal difference of +60.

The Bavarians are currently enjoying an eight-game unbeaten streak at home. On top of that, they have won each of their previous three home games in the Bundesliga.

Unsurprisingly, Robert Lewandowski is one course to claim yet another Golden Boot. The Polish marksman has netted 34 goals in 32 league outings this term.

As for Stuttgart, they have only managed to win six of their 32 Bundesliga clashes this term – recording 11 wins and 15 defeats in the process.

Only two sides have registered fewer wins than Stuttgart this season, while only three teams have suffered more losses.

It is also worth pointing out that Stuttgart have the fourth-worst defensive record in the division, having conceded 56 goals in 32 matches.

Given that Stuttgart head into Sunday’s clash on a five-game winless run, they look destined to struggle against Bayern.

Head-to-head: Bayern Munich thrashed Stuttgart 5-0 in the reverse fixture back in December, with Serge Gnabry netting a hat-trick and Lewandowski bagging a brace.

Bayern have won each of their previous five meetings with Stuttgart, scoring over 2.5 goals on every occasion.

Team news: Bayern Munich have just one injury absentee at the moment, with Bouna Sarr sidelined due to a patella problem.

On the flip side, Stuttgart have multiple injury absentees – including Mohamed Sankoh, Nikolas Nartey and Clinton Mola.

Bayern have won each of their last five meetings with Stuttgart by a combined score of 17-2. That is NOT good news for the visitors.

Forebet predicts that Bayern Munich will once again score over 2.5 goals on their way to seeing off Stuttgart.
