CAF CC: Rivers United arrive Uyo ahead of DC Motema clash

Nigeria’s representative at the CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United on Sunday arrived Uyo, the adopted venue for their clash against Daring Club Motema Pembe of Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, will be a home ground for the Nigerian champions after their original home ground, Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt was certified unfit by CAF.
The Pride of Rivers defeated the Congolese 1-0 in Luanda thanks to Paul Acquah’s strike as 10-man United secured the maximum points and go top of CAF Confederation’s Cup group B table with six points from three matches.
Stanley Eguma’s side will now look to bank on the winning momentum in front of their home fans when they welcome the Congolese on Wednesday.
