CAF CC: Rivers United boost as Paul Acquah returns to training for SC Yanga clash

CAF Confederation Cup top scorer, Paul Acquah is set to undergo a late fitness test ahead of the clash against Young Africans of Tanzania on Sunday.
The Rivers United forward sustained an injury in their final group game against ASEC Mimosa of Cote d’Ivoire in Yamoussoukro last month.
The Ghanaian midfielder has been unplayable for the Pride of Rivers having scored a perfect hat trick that helped defeated DC Motema Pembe 3-1.
The former Hearts of Oak player is reportedly back in training with his teammates but will need to be certified fit to be included in the matchday squad.
“Acquah is back in training with the rest of the team preparing for our game against Young African of Tanzania on Sunday,” confirmed the media officer.
“He will be accessed by the coaches for final inclusion but he is training with the squad in Uyo.”
