CAF Champions League: Medeama SC boss Evans Adotey eyes victory in Nigeria
By Saheed Afolabi
Medeama SC coach, Augustine Evans Adotey is eyeing a victory over Remo Stars in Ikenne on Saturday August 26.
The Ghanaian side had the upper hand in the first leg with a lone goal victory in Ghana but are still confident of stunning the Sky Blue Stars in the second leg on Nigerian soil..
Adotey hailed Remo Stars gallantry display in the first leg and admitted they were lucky to have won the game because they weren’t expecting the Sky Blue Stars tactics.
Ahead of this weekend’s second leg, he described Remo Stars as a disciplined side that gave Medeama SC troubles and hoped to finish the job in Nigeria.
“Remo Stars were fitter than us; we expected them to defend and hit with the counter-attack but they attacked and attacked,” Adotey was quoted by Complete Sports.
“We played against a very disciplined team. We did our best and we hope to complete the job in Nigeria.”
The Sky Blue Stars will have the ball in their court to get the job done in the reverse fixture in Ikenne and avoid a repeat of their previous encounter on the continent.
