CAF CL: Adiele Eriugo blasts Al Ahly Benghazi for negative antics after Enyimba exit

Enyimba International forward, Adiele Eriugo has blasted Al Ahly Benghazi for their negative style of football in the return leg of the CAF Champions League encounter in Aba.

The People’s Elephant played a drab barren draw against the Libyan side at the Aba International Stadium despite scoring three goals in the first leg away from home.

Following their shock elimination, the striker admitted Enyimba were unlucky against Al Ahly Benghazi and lamented the Libyan antics and negative style of play as he bashed them for packing the bus at Aba.

” Yes, I think luck was not on our side,” Adiele told BSN Sports. “I believe that if the luck was on our side, we could have won the game. But it wasn’t an easy game even though we were at home.

“We played against a well organized defensive team, that had all their ten players behind the ball. We waited for the right moment but unfortunately it didn’t come.”

Enyimba International couldn’t advance pass the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League for the first time despite winning the tournament twice in their history.
