CAFCC: Tunde Sanni upbeat about Kwara United’s chances vs Asante Kotoko at home
By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser Tunde Sanni of Kwara United has expressed confidence of a positive response to conquer Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The Harmony Boys will host their Ghanaians counterpart in the second leg preliminary round of CAF Confederation Cup at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
It will be recalled that Sanni side lost 4-3 to Porcupine Warriors in the first leg of the encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Kwara United will need a 1-0 win to scale through to the next round of the competition.
Sanni, however trusting his team’s quality to get a convincing return that will earn them passage to the next round.
“Our assumption is not what we met. They are a bit luckier today, that’s it, but it’s not over yet,” Sanni told reporters on return to Nigeria.
“They are coming to meet us at home, with what we did against them in Ghana and quality in the team, I’m not worried much about the second leg.”
