CAFCL: Remo Stars’ Victor Collins confident of victory against Medeama in Ikenne

Remo Stars’ striker, Victor Collins is not giving up on his side’s chances to progress through the next round of CAF Champions League ahead of Medeama Sporting Club of Ghana.
Remo Stars suffered a slim 1-0 loss to Medeama in the first leg of first qualifying round on Saturday at the Cape Coast Stadium thanks to Anything Sowah’s long range effort in the first half.
The Sky Blues Stars will have to battle through canceling the deficit before aiming to get through, a task Collins believed is surmountable for his side.
“Definitely, I’m very confident that we are going to turn it around in the second leg, because that is what we are praying for,” he told the club media.
“Because we will be playing at home, so we don’t have in other choice than to win the game.”
The former Nasarawa United forward explained that a poor playing pitch in Ghana culminated to his team’s loss just as he blamed Confederation of African football (CAF) for approving such stadium.
” Yes, I think the poor pitch surface affected us, ” Victor said. ” However, I don’t really understand the reasons why CAF approved such stadium for a high profile match like this.”
