Calvin Bassey opens up on Harry Maguire contribution to his career

Fulham defender, Calvin Bassey is fascinated with the contribution of Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire to his career.

Both players shared the dressing room while at Leicester City but have been splitted due to career choices.

Bassey said he looks up to Maguire and appreciated the advice he gets from the England international as the Super Eagles full back lauded Maguire’s abilities at Leicester City.

“At the time I was coming through the ranks and he was one of the players I looked up to and still do,” Bassey was quoted by Sports Ration.

“He’s a quality player. Now that I’m playing on the opposite side, he plays on the opposite side, he’s been giving me some advice, like any top player would.

“Yeah, of course. He was incredible at Leicester and still is. To do what he did for Leicester was amazing.”

The 23 year old has appeared in seven matches for Fulham this season Ajax.  The Cottagers have 12 points in 11 matches and will trade tackles with Aston Villa at their next game in Villa Park on November 12.
