Chiamaka Nnadozie Bids Emotional Farewell to Paris FC After Five-Year Stint

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has officially parted ways with Paris FC, bringing an end to a successful five-and-a-half-year spell at the French club.

Nnadozie joined Paris FC in 2020 from Rivers Angels, one of Nigeria’s top women’s football clubs. Since then, she has grown into a pivotal figure for the team, culminating in her being named the Best Goalkeeper in the Arkema Première Ligue for the 2023–2024 season.

The club confirmed her departure on Friday via social media, highlighting her contribution to their recent Coupe de France triumph, where she played a crucial role.

“Arriving at Paris FC in 2020 from River Angels FC, Chiamaka immediately became a key part of the team… She left Paris FC after a magnificent victory in the Coupe de France in which she was one of the main players,” the club wrote. “We wish her the best for the next stage of her career.”

In an emotional farewell message, the 24-year-old expressed her gratitude:

“Been an honour to have been a part of this amazing team for the past five and half years. I will miss each and every one of you… It’s hard to say goodbye to such a fantastic team.”

Nnadozie’s next destination has not yet been officially announced, but her consistent performances have made her one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in women’s football.
