Chiamaka Nnadozie set to make Nigeria history in France with Paris FC

By: Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie is set to become the first ever Nigerian player to win the Player of the Month award in the Feminine Division 1.
The Paris FC goalkeeper has emerged as a standout candidate for the Best Player of the Month for March.
The 23-year-old kept two clean sheets in four games for the capital club, powering the Parisians to three victories.
One of Nnadozie’s standout moments came in a thrilling encounter against Le Havre, where she brilliantly saved a penalty from Inès Benyahia.
However, the former Rivers Angels star will face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain duo of Tabitha Chawinga and Grace Geyoro for the honour.
Her African sister from Malawi, Chawinga earned her nomination after scoring six times and providing four assists in four games in March.
The 27-year-old striker currently on loan from China’s Wuhan Jianghan University, is the league’s top scorer with 17 goals and 10 assists.
Meanwhile, Geyoro, PSG’s captain, has also made a significant contribution with two goals and two assists in the period under review.
With Nnadozie in impressive form in goal, the young shot-stopper helped Nigeria qualify for the Olympics for the first time in 16 years.
