Chidinma Okeke scores in Hapoel Beer Sheva’s rout of Maccabi Emek Hefer

Former FC Robo Queens player, Chidinma Okeke was on target as her Israeli women’s league side, Hapoel Beer Sheva earned a 4-1 win over Maccabi Emek Hefer on Thursday during Matchday 14 encounter.
The former Madrid CFF player scored the first goal of the game for Hapoel Beer Sheva in the 18th minute at the Beer Sheva Rayser before her teammate Foster Shanise doubled the lead for the host at the half-hour mark.
Six minutes after the half-hour mark, Ghanaian player Owusu Jacqueline reduced the deficit for the visitors as the first half ended 2-1 in favour of Andrea Bercholc’s side.
After the interval, Shanise scored her second goal of the night to make it 3-1 before Elizabeth Carolin increased the host’s lead to 4-1 in the 72nd minute.
Okeke played for the duration of the match as she scored her third league goal of the campaign.
The 22-year-old had represented Nigeria at the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, before she made Christopher Danujuma’s U-20 squad for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup two years later in France.
At senior level, Okeke played a part in Nigeria’s campaign at the 2019 West Africa Football Union Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Cup and the FIFA Women’s World Cup the same year.
Hapoel Beer Sheva occupy the eighth position on the log with 10 points after 14 games.
