Chidozie Awaziem confident Super Eagles will thrive under Finidi George’s tutelage

Nigeria’s defender, Chidozie Awaziem, expressed confidence that the national team will flourish under the guidance of interim manager Finidi George.

Following their 2-1 victory over Ghana in Morocco, marking Finidi’s debut as the Super Eagles’ interim coach, Awaziem emphasized the team’s determination to replicate their success in future matches.

Awaziem asserted that Nigeria aims to secure another positive outcome, much like their triumph against Ghana, by addressing and rectifying any mistakes from previous encounters to bolster the team’s performance.

“We aim for a comparable outcome as against Ghana,” Awaziem remarked to the press after the Ghana match.

“We will return even stronger, addressing the mistakes from the previous game to build a more robust and effective team.”

The Super Eagles’ victory over Ghana, with goals from Cyril Dessers and Ademola Lookman, demonstrated their potential under Finidi’s leadership, setting a promising tone for future matches.
